Tami's Page
1993

My first web site immediately had a page with a message to Tami. This is the text of one early version of the page, the actual html web page is long gone. I made edits often over the years and tried to keep it in the results for a search of my name. I never expected Tami to find it, but the slight possibility made it worthwhile to me.

Dear Tamara Jo,

I worry, not knowing what has happened to you. I regret terribly not saying I love you the last time we spoke. I thought it was going to be the first in a long line of communications between us. You were supposed to send me a letter. I never got it. I hope you sent it and it was lost in the mail. That's easier for me to take than if you didn't send the letter.

There are people in my life who want to meet you, to become your friends. They know how important you are to me so you're also important to them.

Whenever you hear the song listed below, I'd like you to think of me and know that I'm thinking of you.

I promise you, I will keep this note on the network until you find it and have reason to call me.

My love, ALWAYS,
Pinger

When you're down and troubled and you need a helping hand

And nothing, whoa, nothing is going right

Close your eyes and think of me and soon I will be there

To brighten up even your darkest nights

You just call out my name, and you know wherever I am

I'll come running, oh yeah baby, to see you again

Winter, spring, summer, or fall

All you got to do is call and I'll be there, yeah, yeah, yeah

You've got a friend

If the sky… above you should turn dark and full of clouds

And that old north wind should begin to blow

Keep your head together and call my name out loud now

Soon I'll be knocking upon your door

You just call out my name, and you know wherever I am

I'll come running, oh yes I will, see you again

Winter, spring, summer, or fall, yeah

All you got to do is call and I'll be there, yeah, yeah, yeah

Hey, ain't it good to know that you've got a friend?

People can be so cold

They'll hurt you and desert you

Well, they'll take your soul if you let them

Oh yeah, but don't you let them

You just call out my name, and you know where ever I am

I'll come running to see you again

Oh baby, don't you know about

Winter, spring, summer, or fall

Hey now, all you've got to do is call, Lord, I'll be there, yes I will.

You've got a friend. You've got a friend, yeah

Ain't it good to know you've got a friend

Ain't it good to know you've got a friend

Oh, yeah, yeah, you've got a friend
